Senior Performance Training (SPT) Offering specific coaching for amateur and semi-professional athletes with the drive and commitment to succeed. Based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. SPT provides structure and accountability to an otherwise chaotic schedule, whereby the focus is on improving key attributes in sport: Speed, Power and Strength which will not only increase performance levels but also keep you in the game longer, by reducing the likelihood of injury. Senior Performance Training has worked with a number of local sports clubs from football and cricket to rugby league and rugby union. Alongside individuals at academy level, Northern Premier League, National League North & League Two, who have gone on to move up the pyramid by winning titles, achieving promotion or securing transfers.

LIAM SENIOR

SPT Head Coach

Head Coach Liam Senior has been involved with sport for over 20 years and knows the struggles of training in an overcrowded facility where space is limited, whilst trying to manage the demands of work and club commitments. The aim is to transfer the experience, passion and knowledge gained, to help athletes develop both on and off the field in an environment best suited to get the desired results. After suffering two bizarre sport related injuries back in 2015, a dislocated shoulder singing the team song and a broken knee cap from a 50/50 challenge, my training focus shifted to a more performance-based approach combining gym and field work, in order to become a well-rounded athlete and best reduce time on the sidelines. The eagerness to further my knowledge led to qualifications in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training before starting working in the industry in late 2018.

SMALL GROUP

COACHING

1:1 Coaching: Tailored to meet the specific goals, needs, sporting demands and circumstances of the individual complemented with nutritional, motivational support and check ins outside of the sessions.

 

Small Group Personal Training (SGPT): 4 max, perfect for small groups, sharing similar desires, wanting a combination of a personal and team training environment.

 

Group Training: up to 24 people, ideal for local sports clubs, whether it be pre-season or continued in season work, all bases will be covered by laying a solid foundation and then building on that to ensure your team is one step ahead of the competition.

 

Senior Performance Online: Offering the same key principles of in person coaching but allows for the work to be done remotely at the individuals chosen facility, this option is for athletes that aren't necessarily local to West Yorkshire but are wanting a personal service. The two main focus points of the online model are programming to suit your schedule and nutritional support, to ensure you are sufficiently fuelled to cope with the demands of the season.

 

SPT Ultimate Package: The most comprehensive option available, including both in person 1:1 and online coaching models to facilitate the best opportunity to make progress and develop.

 

1:1, SGPT and Group Training options are also available at a number of other locations including outdoor field sessions and your club facility.
